Starting in December 2018, the Mac application (version 1.1.1) stopped working on my Mac Mini running Mohave 1.14.1. Instead of showing alerts a text message was displayed 'The link has expired, please retry after refreshing.' I reported this to YI support on 5 Dec 2018. They reported that this was a known issue and was currently being worked on.

  4. You can click on Name and Size to sort the list of apps accordingly.

  1. Check the box next to each app that you want to uninstall.
  2. Click the Uninstall button.
  3. On the confirmation prompt, tap OK.

iii. To extract APK files from the installed apps

Just like Windows uses a .exe file or Mac uses a .dmg file for installing software. A .apk file, which behaves in a similar manner to a .exe in Windows, lets you install an app on your Android system directly.

Sometimes, you might want to extract the .apk files of the installed apps, so that you can pass them to your friend that has no Internet connection or perhaps the apps cannot be found on the Google Play store.

  1. Check the box next to each app that you want that extract their .apk files.
  2. Click Export.
  3. The Select Folder window will appear. Locate and select the folder you want to save these .apk files, and click the Select Folder button.

iv. To update apps

  1. Click the Updates tab.
  2. Check the box next to each app that you want to update.
  3. Click Update all.

v. To install an app using a .apk file

If you have an .apk for an app on your computer that you want to install it on your Xiaomi device, you can do so using the Mi PC Suite. Here’s how:

  1. Click Install from PC.
  2. The Choose file window will appear. Locate and select the .apk file you want to install, and click the Open button.

vi. To restrict an app from using Mobile data or Wi-Fi

  1. Check the box next to the app that you want to set the restriction.
  2. To disallow the app from using either the mobile data or Wi-Fi, click the On button next Mobile data or Wi-Fi to turn it off.
